Maximilian é uma das marcas da empresa alemã PointTec, a mesma da Junkers e da Zepellin de que já falei anteriormente (aqui e aqui).

Esta marca possui relógios extremamente interessantes, de que saliento este modelo, com a referência 5330-1 (há diversas variações, entre elas uma com o mostrador em preto, também muito bonita).
Há várias originalidades neste relógio, de que falarei já a seguir, mas o que mais me agrada é a conjugação do estilo clássico e da execução elegante, com funcionalidades de alta tecnologia.
É que sob o desenho discreto esconde-se um movimento de precisão extrema sincronizado através de impulsos de rádio. Esta tecnologia permite levar ao extremo a precisão dos relógios de quartzo, evitando a necessidade de se acertar o relógio – desde que se esteja ao alcance das frequências de sincronização usadas, de que infelizmente não há informação no site do fabricante.
A outra originalidade deste relógio consiste na forma de exibir a data: isto é feito on demand clicando na coroa; o ponteiro dos segundos depois desloca-se para o ponto onde o dia do mês está indicado, sob a forma de algarismos de 1 a 31 que se estendem entre as 12H00 e as 6H00. O resultado é uma peça de desenho extremamente simples mas ao mesmo tempo original.

Die Recherche dieses Textes hat mich zu der Annahme geführt, dass die Uhr als Gedenk- oder Werbeträger für ein Raketenabwehrsystem dient.
Die Aegis BMD steht für Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System, ein Verteidigungsprogramm der US-Verteidigungsministerien zur Verteidigung gegen ballistische Mittelstreckenraketen. Das System verwendet derzeit das Raketensystem Lockheed Martin Aegis mit der Raytheon-Rakete RIM-161 SM3, die auch diese Textstellen erklärt.
